COVID-19 has created a situation that has pushed both public and private research networks to “challenge the status quo” when it comes to conducting research. This week, Clinical Trials Ontario interviewed President, Research Karri Venn about Centricity Research’s response and action during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With Centricity Research’s history working on vaccines, including past research during the H1N1 pandemic, we are hoping to make connections, and continue to collaborate with other clinical research sites looking to conduct COVID-19 trials. As of now, we are hoping to have vaccine trials up and running in Ontario by July 2020.
Beyond vaccines, Centricity Research is also looking to study treatments for mild cases of COVID-19 and prophylaxis treatment for high risk/exposure candidates.
