Centricity Research branches into Dermatology.

Centricity Research – one of the world’s largest clinical research networks, and the largest network of fully-owned and integrated research sites in Canada providing Phase I-IV clinical trial services – has announced that it has expanded its services to include dermatology.

Starting with the integration of three new dermatology research sites in Canada – one in Toronto, Ontario and two in London, Ontario – Centricity Research now has the capacity to conduct research across every scope of dermatology, including specialty areas such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, aesthetics, carcinomas, melanoma, lupus, rare skin diseases and more.

“We are excited to expand our network and continue to apply our expertise in pairing up with specialists to integrate research into their clinical practices for the benefit of both the physicians and patients,” said Karri Venn, President, Research of Centricity Research. “With plans to extend our dermatology group even further in 2021, Centricity Research is strengthening our mission to improve people’s health by making clinical research available to all, one therapeutic area at a time.”

Joining the LMC dermatology group are Dr. Jeffery Cowger of London-based Advanced Medical Group – Skin Therapy Centre, Dr. Fiona Lovegrove of London-based Lovegrove Dermatology and Dr. Geeta Yadav of Toronto-based Skin Science Dermatology. Collectively, the dermatologists see up to 40,000 patients per year, with each specialist contributing a patient volume of 50 visits – and growing – daily.

According to Dr. Cowger, “joining the dermatology research division of Centricity Research has allowed me to focus on the part of my profession that I love, the medicine, leaving Centricity Research to take care of the rest. It’s an excellent experience that I would highly recommend to any physician considering doing research.”

With a 20-year history, Centricity Research provides pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations with a single-source approach to performing clinical trials across a full gamut of treatment areas. The company has developed a centralized model with integrated standard operating procedures, unified source, central departments for budget, regulatory, recruitment, marketing, finance and quality assurance.  Embracing new technology solutions to provide telemedicine, 100 percent paperless systems, and the ability to provide virtual trial offerings, Centricity Research has a proven track record of fast start-ups, high recruitment/retention and quality regulatory compliance inspections.
