Dermatology
The skin is the largest organ in the body, and is our first line of defense against bacteria and injury. Currently, 20% of Canadians are living with acne, 1 million have been diagnosed with psoriasis, and 2 million Canadians have rosacea.
Skin disorders vary greatly in symptoms and severity; they can be temporary or permanent, vary from painless to painful, and can have genetic or situational causes. As small as a skin condition may seem, it is always important to speak with a healthcare provider about anything that seems abnormal, as the severity of skin conditions and diseases can go from minor to life-threatening.
